Additional Information: Wet off Saw (WOS)
When we refer to ‘Wet off Saw’ (WOS), we are describing sawn timber that has undergone no further processing beyond the initial cutting. In other words, it is fresh from the sawmill and has not been graded or crosscut.
Ungraded WOS pine, is primarily used for formwork, crating, pallets, and rough construction work. It serves as a cost-effective option for these applications due to its immediate availability and minimal processing.
In our wet summer season, it is prone to surface mold if not de-stacked and either air dried or Kiln dried.
Additional Information: CCA Treated Industrial Grade Pine
Our kiln-dried, unplained pine is treated with Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA), a highly effective wood preservative. CCA consists of a combination of chromium, copper, and arsenic, ensuring excellent protection against decay and insect damage.
This industrial-grade pine is specifically designed for outdoor applications, making it an ideal choice for fences, cladding of outdoor structures, jungle gyms, doors, and various other projects. Its durability and resistance to environmental elements make it a reliable option for long-lasting outdoor use.
However, it’s important to note that regardless of treatment, it is crucial to seal and maintain pine wood used outdoors once it is installed. Proper sealing and regular maintenance will further enhance its longevity and help it withstand the rigors of outdoor conditions.
